Mavis M. Hopper, Board Member At Large

PRESENT

Mavis M. Hopper has dedicated over two decades of her career to the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW), where her roles have spanned from Bus Operator to Revenue Collector, and Senior Executive Secretary for a former director. Currently, she excels as the DTPW Service Center Supervisor 2 for the Pass Sales Office and the Office of Lost & Found. Her key responsibilities include overseeing more than $25 million annually in fare media and managing lost and abandoned property, which requires exceptional leadership skills, financial acumen, communication skills, and ethical judgement and integrity.

Mavis holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration and a Master of Business Administration in Management. She is an active member of Delta Mu Delta, the National Notary Association, and the National Black MBA Association. Beyond her professional endeavors, Mavis is deeply committed to her community, serving as a mentor in the R.O.Y.A.L.T.Y. Inc. Mentoring Program and founding the H.O.P.E. Advancement Group Inc., an organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and empowering women, young adults, and children in need.

As a proud Board Member at Large for COMTO Miami, Mavis is eager to contribute to the organization’s efforts in enhancing minority participation and professional development in the transportation industry, embodying her core values of integrity, leadership, and community engagement.
