Charles George Scholarship Golf Tournament

The inaugural COMTO Miami Chapter “Charles George Scholarship Golf Tournament” was held in ‘2011 at the Inverrary Country Club in Lauderhill, Florida.  The tournament bears the name of the COMTO Miami Chapter Founder Mr. Charles George. In 2012, the tournament was also held at the Lauderhill Inverrary Country Club.  In 2013, 2014 and 2015 the tournament was moved to the Diplomat Golf Resort and Spa in Hallandale Beach, Florida.
The Chapter’s Scholarship Golf Tournament provides a link to a better life for Miami-Dade students. The Tournament continues to be a means of assisting students (sometimes first generational) to pursue a degree. The chapter named its tournament after its Founder, Charles George, who established the chapter in 1986 and is also an avid golfer. The Golf Tournament is held at premiere golf courses throughout Miami-Dade and Broward County and attracts celebrities, sports figures, business, and community leaders. Monies raised from the Golf Tournament are used for the COMTO Miami Scholarship Fund which helps students at the Florida Memorial University as well as the National Scholarship Fund.  This year, as families stretch to pay rising tuition costs to keep their outstanding students on course, COMTO Miami needs you on our team more than ever.
