Franklin A Brown is an inventor, entrepreneur, and transportation professional whose career brings together innovation, public transportation, workforce development, and environmental technology.

At the forefront of his work is his passion for invention and developing practical solutions to real-world challenges. Franklin is the inventor of the Wet Soil Plant Nursery System, a patented technology designed to support the cultivation and protection of plants in wet and coastal environments. His innovation work reflects a broader interest in using technology, engineering, and creative problem-solving to address environmental and infrastructure challenges.

Franklin also brings more than three decades of experience in public transportation and currently serves as a Bus Operations & Maintenance Instructor with Miami-Dade County’s Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW), helping train and develop the next generation of transportation professionals.

He currently serves as Second Vice President of COMTO Miami, where he contributes his transportation experience, leadership, and innovation-focused perspective to COMTO’s mission of advancing opportunities and professional development throughout the transportation industry.

Franklin is also a Certified CDL Examiner and FAA Part 107 Commercial Drone Pilot, with professional interests spanning transportation technology, unmanned aviation, environmental innovation, coastal resilience, and entrepreneurship.
