The intent of our Brown Bag Lunch Leadership Series is to bring both leaders and aspiring leaders from different levels and careers together to share key leadership strategies, styles, types, and to introduce attendees to COMTO. This session will focus on Developing a Leadership Mindset. Having a leadership mindset means seeing problems as opportunities and recognizing that every challenge provides an opportunity to learn and grow.
This session feature two speakers which are the two General Superintendents of Miami-Dade Department of Transportation & Public Works (DTPW) Bus Services, Kenneth Jones and Joel Perez. Mr. Jones currently serves as the General Superintendent of Bus Maintenance of Miami-Dade Department of Transportation & Public Works (DTPW) where he is responsible for the daily operations of the bus fleet of over 700 buses. Mr. Jones has over 49 years of experience in the transportation industry with 19 years of successful experience managing each of the bus maintenance mass transit divisions within the DTPW.
Mr. Perez currently serves as the General Superintendent of Bus Operations where he is responsible for the daily operations and management of 1,975 bus operators and administrative support personnel. Mr. Perez has over 37.5 years of experience in the transportation industry with 14 years managing each of the bus operations divisions within DTPW.
