    COMTO Building the Leadership Mindset

    Join us on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 for another Professional Development Series: Developing a Leadership Mindset. Hear from our special guest, Eulois Cleckley, Director & CEO of the Miami-Dade Department of Transportation & Public Works as he shares key leadership strategies, styles, and types. The intent of this session is to assist attendees from various career levels share and discuss how to lead, interact with and influence others.

    A leadership mindset involves having certain attitudes, beliefs and expectations that create the foundation of who you are, and is the driving component of everything you do within your job. Robin Sharma says “Leadership is a mindset that shifts from being a victim to creating results. Any one of us can demonstrate leadership in our work and within our lives.” Having a leadership mindset means seeing problems as opportunities and recognizing that every challenge provides an opportunity to learn and grow.

  • Developing a Leadership Mindset Workshop

    Join us on Saturday, March 26, 2022, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon for the Developing Leadership Mindset Workshop. The workshop will bring both leaders and aspiring leaders from different levels and careers together to share key leadership strategies, styles, types, and to share information and experiences. Discussion topics may include:  

    ·        Key Leadership Characteristics 

    ·        Importance of Diversity in Leadership 

    ·        Definition of a Great Leader 

    ·        Nuances of Team Building 

    The Guest Speaker is Rashad Thomas, Regional Director of AT&T Florida, External Affairs. Mr. Thomas is responsible for External and Legislative Affairs activities in Miami-Dade County and parts of Broward. His responsibilities include working with Local and State Government Officials and enhancing AT&T’s presence throughout the Miami-Dade and Broward region.  

     He is a Bethune-Cookman University graduate and has worked in various capacities in Miami-Dade County government for nearly two decades. Immediately prior to joining AT&T, Mr. Thomas served as Manager of Strategic Partnerships and Community Relations at the Port of Miami where he collaborated with local businesses and organizations to connect them with opportunities at one of the State of Florida’s biggest economic engines. Prior to that, he was the Assistant to the Miami-Dade Deputy Mayor, responsible for the office’s COVID-19 Response Team. In 2019 Rashad served as the Vice President of Business Connect and Legacy Projects for the Miami Super Bowl Host Committee for Super Bowl LIV.
