The symposium will include informative and interactive matching sessions by transportation mode in which the small minority-owned business members will engage with project leaders and administrators to ensure project readiness. Participants include the Miami-Dade Aviation Department, Department of Transportation & Public Works, Port Miami and Greater Miami Expressway Agency.
Our annual membership drive on November 6-10, 2023 will provide creative activities to showcase the benefits of membership and encourage participation. This week brings diverse transportation industry professionals across modes and disciplines to the COMTO family. Events will be held at various locations as well as online to enhance COMTO’s image and mission.

COMTO Miami will recognize the achievements and contributions of Hispanic American champions who have inspired others to achieve success. Every year, from September 15 to October 15, the US celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month. This is an opportunity to reflect on the contributions of the Hispanic community to the country. The 2023 theme is “Latinos: Driving Prosperity, Power, and Progress in America.”. Join us for a fun-filled luncheon with food, entertainment by the Miami Gold Mariachi band, and music by DJ Emmanuel as we celebrate the rich heritage and many accomplishments of Hispanics in Transportation. The event will be held at the Miami International Airport in the North Terminal Auditorium. Enter at American Airlines Terminal Door 1 and take elevator / escalator to the 4th floor. Parking will be validated.

Join us on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the Jacaranda Golf Club, located at 9200 West Broward Blvd. in Plantation, Florida for the COMTO Miami Charles George Scholarship Golf Tournament. The Tournament is Scramble format. Registration starts at 7:00 am and Shotgun starts at 8:00 am. Cost is $175 / player of $600 / team. The cost for the Scholarship Luncheon is $60 per person. For registration and more information, contact William Texidor at 786-516-1118.
The Tournament continues to be a means of assisting students (sometimes first generational) to pursue a degree. The chapter named its tournament after its Founder, Charles George, who established the chapter in 1986 and is also an avid golfer. Mr. George continues to actively engage with the chapter’s activities.
Monies raised from the Golf Tournament are used for the COMTO Miami Scholarship Fund which helps local students as well as the National Scholarship Fund. This year, as families stretch to pay rising tuition costs to keep their outstanding students on course, COMTO Miami needs your support more than ever.
