GREGORY ROBINSON, PRESIDENT

Mr. Robinson is the General Superintendent for DTPW Rail Transportation and is responsible for the Metrorail & Metro mover Operation Control Center and Rail Transportation activities. He directs and monitors the day-to-day operation of both Metrorail and Metro mover passenger transportation systems to ensure a safe and efficient operation.

He is responsible for a staff of 160 employees and a divisional budget of over $22 million.  His previous positions include Chief Supervisor, Rail Traffic Control, Rail Traffic Controller.   He also serves on the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) Rail Operating Practices Standards Committee.

Prior to joining the department, he was a Lead Engineer at two private firms; AmPro Corporation and McDonnel Douglas Astronautics, where he was a specialized on the Tomahawk Cruise Missile Program.

Mr. Robinson received his BS degree in Electronic Engineering Technology from the Florida A&M University (FAMU) and was a member of the FAMU Incomparable Marching ‘100’ Band.
